Welcome
Welcome to NWM @ BVE4.NET, the home of the Network
West Midlands routes for the freeware train driving simulators
OpenBVE and BVE Trainsim 4.

The NWM suite of routes are a highly detailed fictional railway,
with scenery based on real life locations around the Birmingham
and West Midlands area of the UK. Current route distance is
circa 140km. Operations are realistic with various track and
weather conditions, AWS, TPWS, and high quality signalling.
- NWM
routes and diagrams are diverse. From the 125mph electrified mainline,
to DMU operated local services linking towns of industry, to winding
single track rural branchlines; express, commuter, railtour,
and freight operations are included.
- NWM is completely free, and available to
download from this site.
- NWM is an ongoing project so please check back
for further updates and expansion.

OpenBVE is a new FREE OpenGL program. It will run trains
and routes built for BVE Trainsim 2 and BVE Trainsim 4 but features
many enhancements over these programs. Please visit the OpenBVE
homepage to download OpenBVE and for help and guidance.
BVE Trainsim 4 is a FREE Direct 3D Cab View
train driving simulator, made in Japan by Mackoy. It offers
a realistic cab view, excellent sound, and very good train physics.
Although originally limited to Japanese routes and trains, there
is now extensive English language support, and routes and trains
available from just about every continent in the world.
If you've not got BVE Trainsim 4, then please visit our help
pages for details of how to download this programs and
get the simulator up and running.
The simulator features sway around curves, rocking whilst braking,
and the bump of pointwork and rail joints. The downloads
on this site will work on either BVE Trainsim 4 or OpenBVE.
